Job Summary:

The Financial Accountant at Roland Mouret will be responsible for the bookkeeping of day-to-day financial operations within the finance department. This role involves posting journals and coordinating financial processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that financial practices align with the company’s strategic objectives and help drive efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Preparation and posting of all journals monthly for the management accounts and prepare reconciliations in a timely manner to meet monthly reporting timetable deadlines.

  • Credit control: Work closely with the Credit Controller on processes related to wholesale account management.

  • Support for Finance Controller: Collaborate with the Finance Controller to streamline financial operations and implement strategic initiatives that enhance financial performance.

  • Audit: Assist in providing external auditors with supporting information.

  • Taxation: Help with preparation of UK VAT reporting

  • Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and controls.

  • Business Partnering: Work closely with departments to provide financial guidance and support. Ability to problem solve and implement improvements in cross-functional processes.

  • Project Support: Provide financial support and analysis for various tasks and initiatives. Involvement in tasks for other group entity, Self-Portrait Ltd.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Financial Accountant desired

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel & Xero (desired not essential).

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships across the organization.

  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
