Financial Accountant – Cardiff

Salary: £50,000 Bonus and Great Benefits
Location: Cardiff

A leading organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-orientedFinancial Accountantto join its finance team based in Cardiff. This role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of key financial processes and contribute to the success of a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with finance Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Managing month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and support with financial statement preparation.
  • Supervising and supporting Assistant Financial Accountants in their daily activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
  • Collaborating with other departments to improve financial operations, including defining processes and timelines for reconciling intercompany transactions.
  • Working closely with Regional Financial Controllers on a monthly basis to validate entity-level revenue reconciliations.
Candidate Profile
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
