UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge is essential, with exposure to US GAAP reporting. The position involves month-end duties, supporting audits, and driving improvements in reporting processes within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification required.
• Experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting and month-end processes.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, with exposure to US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial accounts and reporting packs, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Support statutory accounts preparation and reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare US GAAP reporting and support adjustments between local and group accounting requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end activities, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare supporting schedules for the annual audit.
• Maintain strong financial controls and identify opportunities to improve reporting processes.
• Provide technical accounting support across the finance team.

SF Partners are delighted to be recruiting for a Financial Accountant. This is a great opportunity for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant to take on a hands-on role covering financial reporting, statutory accounts and financial controls.

The role will suit someone with strong technical accounting knowledge who enjoys getting into the detail and working closely with the wider finance team. This would also be an excellent first move into industry for a qualified accountant in practice.

• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.
• Good communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
