Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Financial Accountant for a technology-led organisation. This is a varied, hands-on role within an established Finance team, covering financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit, tax, inventory, R&D accounting and business partnering.

You'll work with the Finance Manager and colleagues, own balance sheet areas, month-end, and provide insight for commercial decisions. The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA and a solid grasp of FRS 102.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and year-end reporting.
• Experience with statutory reporting, audit and tax.
• Experience with R&D accounting and inventory management.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of key balance sheet areas and month-end processes.
• Manage inventory and stock accounting, including provisions and reporting.
• Prepare inventory reporting and coordinate with operational stakeholders.
• Maintain and reconcile capitalised R&D projects.
• Assess accounting treatment of development expenditure with project teams.
• Own the fixed asset register and monthly depreciation calculations.
• Prepare and review accruals and prepayments; reconcile revenue and gross margin.
• Maintain deferred revenue schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support and mentor junior members of the Finance team; assist with UK statutory reporting and external audit.

We’re recruiting a Financial Accountant for a successful and growing technology-led organisation based in the Cambridge area. This is a varied, hands-on position within an established Finance team, offering exposure across financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit, tax, inventory, R&D accounting and business partnering.

• Working closely with the Finance Manager and colleagues across the wider business, you’ll play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while providing the insight and information used to support commercial and operational decision-making.
• You’ll take ownership of several key areas of the balance sheet and month-end process, including:
• Managing inventory and stock accounting, including provisions, stock turnover analysis and reporting
• Preparing inventory reporting and working closely with operational stakeholders
• Maintaining and reconciling capitalised R&D projects
• Working with project teams to assess the appropriate accounting treatment of development expenditure
• Taking responsibility for the fixed asset register
• Preparing and reviewing accruals and prepayments
• Owning monthly revenue and gross margin reconciliations
• Maintaining deferred revenue schedules
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Finance teamStatutory reporting, audit & tax

Alongside your monthly responsibilities, you’ll gain broad exposure to year-end and statutory accounting, including:

• Supporting the preparation of UK statutory financial statements
• Preparing statutory reporting schedules and supporting data
• Reviewing accounting policies and ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards
• Liaising with overseas accounting providers in relation to subsidiary entities
• Supporting the annual external audit and acting as a key contact for auditors
• Assisting with UK tax computations and responding to external tax advisers
• Supporting R&D-related tax claims
• Taking ownership of annual warranty provision calculations

You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who enjoys getting into the detail while also working collaboratively with people outside Finance. You must have a sound understanding of FRS 102 and experience working within demanding month-end and reporting deadlines.
