Overview

CMA Recruitment Group is looking for a technically strong qualified accountant who is seeking a temporary varied group-level role in a global business. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative finance team in a broad role combining IFRS reporting, process improvement and technical accounting.

As Group Finance Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the wider group and regional finance teams, leading on technical queries, statutory accounts, and improvements to consolidation and reporting tools. You’ll also support a growing UK-based subsidiary with day-to-day finance and planning.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical accounting lead, providing IFRS guidance and supporting policy development
  • Prepare statutory accounts for a number of UK entities and ensure timely audit sign-off
  • Partner with regional teams across the UK and internationally, supporting reporting and compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, reporting tools (Tagetik), and consolidation systems
  • Support monthly group reporting and contribute to ad hoc projects and analysis
Suitable Candidate
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong IFRS and statutory reporting knowledge
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and explaining technical issues clearly
  • Process-minded with strong systems knowledge
  • Organised, collaborative, and comfortable working across teams and time zones
