Role Pitch
The role will support Group adherence to financial regulations and standards, maintaining robust internal controls. Continuous Improvement will be a key requirement, working directly with the Statutory Reporting Manager EMEA & AMER to achieve a culture of Finance Excellence in the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Statutory Reporting and Compliance:
    Main duties, which will principally be the AMER region but may involve other regions as and when required, include:
    • Adherence to financial regulations and standards, maintaining robust internal controls.
    • Support in the preparation of monthly AMER &/or EMEA management accounts (including but not limited to the below). Interaction with the Accounting Operations Team is required, who will perform transactional accounting, billing and AP activities:
      • Accruals
      • Accrued and Deferred Revenue
      • Prepayments
      • Payroll journal entry
      • Fixed assets
      • Rent amortization
      • Bonus accruals
      • Quarterly bad debt provisions
    • Support Statutory Reporting Manager EMEA & AMER with AMER &/or EMEA Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss review for meeting with Group Financial Controller and Finance team members.
    • Support with the initial completion of AMER tax returns with support and review from either external advisors, Assistant Group Controller or Group Financial Controller.
    • Oversee AMER tax inspections, where relevant, with support from either Statutory Reporting Manager EMEA & AMER, Assistant Group Controller or Group Financial Controller.
    • Ensure accurate and robust AMER Financial Balance Sheet reconciliations.
    • Assist with Intercompany transactions, including raising invoices related to Transfer Pricing and recharges within Netsuite.
    • Support with the review and approvals of payroll in the US and Costa Rica.
    • Support with ad-hoc projects related to the AMER region.
    • Support with generating a tracker of key Statutory and Tax reporting deadlines for the AMER region.
    • Generate reports for management, EMEA & AMER Finance point of contact for the relevant CloudPay stakeholders where necessary.
  2. Risk Assessment:
    The role will need to work directly with the Statutory Reporting Manager EMEA & AMER to support with resolving any highlighted GAAP and Tax compliance risks/inaccuracies, especially when raised by EMEA & AMER Auditors or Advisors. This may involve co-ordinating with external advisors due to reliance on local country knowledge.
  3. Training and Development:
    Support in training both Finance Team members (where necessary).
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    The role will work alongside the Statutory Reporting Manager EMEA & AMER to support with the implementation of technology improvement initiatives to create a Finance Centre of Excellence.

Description
Attributes and Experience Required:
  • Finance Qualification desirable (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with 1+ years' post qualified commercial environment experience.
  • Experience in a complex, multinational organization would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of EMEA &/or AMER GAAP or tax requirements.
  • Project and team skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them practically across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Have a technology-based mindset when supporting the Assistant Group Controller in creating a Finance Centre of Excellence.
