Job Role: Finance UK Outsourcing Manager

Job Type: Full Time, 3 months contract

Location: Peterborough, Hybrid (3 days in the office a week)

  • Oversee the finance team providing comprehensive financial decision support and a value adding MI, reporting and analysis service to the UK Partners business
  • Oversee all month end, forecasting and budget activities, including aligning new processes from recent software migration, including full financial management of P&L, balance and cashflows with appropriate variance analysis
  • Ensure all current processes and documented eliminating any single points of failure.
  • Support the FP&A managers in providing specialist and targeted market analysis, based on global travel policies, passenger forecasts and latest business updates
  • The role requires a high level of commercial awareness with ability to influence stakeholders, together with managing financial disciplines and processes. Additionally, a good level of commercial and operational experience, with an ability to influence, and co-ordinate activities across the team
  • Business partnering is a key requirement for this role across functions and jurisdictions.

Key accountabilities:

  • Product of regular reporting (weekly, fortnightly and monthly) to support business management including insightful commentary about business performance.
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets as per Group timetables, including detail analysis and commentary.
  • Understand, report and develop KPIs to provide actionable insight.
  • Support new contracts and business cases as required.
  • Develop sound professional working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and business partners, building confidence and developing deep understanding of the business.
  • Take the lead in discussions with Internal and External partners on routine performance reviews as well as ad hoc analysis and business cases.
  • Works closely with the UK Finance team, Financial Operations and Group, in the provision of information to business colleagues.

Relationship management and communication

  • Proven record of creating positive relationships across multiple jurisdictions and cultures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across a wide range of seniority, both internally and externally.
  • Build credibility throughout the global commercial organisation as a creative and supportive function whilst maintaining Group standards on governance and control.
  • Be proactive in the provision of feedback and the delivery of ideas to develop and improve solutions relating to Travelex Finance.

General

  • Maintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines.
  • Manage expenses in accordance with Company Expense Policy.
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capability.

Experience and personal qualities:

  • Proven experience of managing and completing month end, forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Strong business partnering and influencing skills in relation to stakeholder management (internal and external) and across matrix reporting lines.
  • Experience of managing complex and diverse teams
  • Excellent Strong excel skills along with management of large datasets.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to seek alternative solutions.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team whilst meeting short and long term deadlines.
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
  • Experience using CODA Oracle fusion, Oracle PBCS, HsGet retrieve and SmartView reporting tool.
  • Experience of finance system transformations
