Job summary

Communicate Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Transformation professional to support a major Finance Target Operating Model programme in London. The role focuses on assessing the current operating model and designing the future-state covering processes, governance, technology and ways of working.

You will lead workshops, map current and future processes across P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A and Financial Control, and translate strategic objectives into actionable TOM roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Finance Transformation and Target Operating Model design.
• Proven experience on complex Finance transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of Finance processes, operating models and organisational design.
• Experience with process optimisation, standardisation, shared services/GBS or centralisation.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior Finance leadership.
• Experience translating strategic requirements into practical operating model solutions.
• Excellent analytical, communication and workshop facilitation skills.

Finance Transformation - Target Operating Model Programme

My client is looking for an experienced Finance Transformation professional to support a major Finance Target Operating Model (TOM) programme.

The role will focus on assessing the current Finance operating model and supporting the design of the future-state model, covering processes, organisation, governance, technology and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of the Finance Target Operating Model.
• Assess current-state Finance processes, structures and ways of working and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Define future-state Finance processes, organisational structures, roles and responsibilities.
• Lead or support workshops with Finance stakeholders to understand current challenges and develop future-state solutions.
• Identify opportunities for standardisation, centralisation, automation and process optimisation.
• Develop current-state and future-state process maps and supporting TOM documentation.
• Work across core Finance functions including P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A and Financial Control.
• Translate strategic objectives into a practical and implementable Finance operating model.
• Support the development of implementation roadmaps, transition plans and associated change requirements.
• Work closely with senior Finance stakeholders and wider transformation teams to ensure alignment across the programme.
• Identify and manage key dependencies, risks and issues associated with the future operating model.

Experience Required

• Strong experience in Finance Transformation and Target Operating Model design.
• Proven experience working on complex Finance transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of Finance processes, operating models and organisational design.
• Experience with process optimisation, standardisation, shared services / GBS or centralisation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior Finance leadership.
• Experience translating strategic requirements into practical operating model solutions.
• Excellent analytical, communication and workshop facilitation skills.

Consultancy Background

There is a preference for candidates with a previous management consulting / Big Four background, particularly those who have worked on Finance Transformation, Target Operating Model or operating model design programmes.

Candidates from firms such as Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG or Accenture would be of particular interest, although strong industry-side Finance Transformation professionals with directly relevant experience will also be considered.
