Job Description:

We are searching for an experienced Finance Transformation Assistant Manager.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

At RSM, our consulting team brings together diverse advisory experts to deliver our six core solutions: business transformation, forensic, deal services, restructuring, finance function support, and risk and governance.

Our solutions address the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities our clients face as they strive to achieve their aspirations and organisational goals. We support global expansion, develop acquisition strategies, facilitate private equity investments, and collaborate with boards to manage risk and governance.

We prioritize simplicity, providing data-driven insights, value-added assurance, and high-quality execution to empower our clients in building sustainable, future-fit businesses.

Joining our growing Business Transformation team offers diverse career opportunities as we expand and develop our team of expert consultants, embrace digital-first approaches, strengthen our global presence, and build strong client relationships.

The Finance Transformation team, part of our Business Transformation Consulting practice, helps businesses transform operations and overcome performance challenges for lasting growth and adaptability, focusing on strategy, technology, finance, innovation, and people.

Modern CFOs face increasing complexity and a changing business environment, requiring agile, streamlined, and efficient finance functions that deliver accurate, reliable, and insightful financial information. Many CFOs struggle with these changes.

We partner with CFOs to design and implement future-ready Finance operating models, understanding their business, vision, and needs, and deploying pragmatic solutions to modernize their digital footprint and enhance effectiveness.

You will make an impact by:

  • Working closely with clients to establish trust and build effective relationships.
  • Being a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, valuing collaboration and idea exchange.
  • Being a problem solver, creative thinker, and self-starter, organized, proactive, and inquisitive, with experience in Transformation projects.
  • Contributing to client proposals and presentations, acting as a trusted advisor in identifying and solving business challenges.

What we are looking for:

  • Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT, etc.)
  • Demonstrable PQE experience within a professional services environment.
  • Strong academic background, preferably in finance, accounting, business management, or data analytics.
  • Understanding of finance processes such as FP&A, R2R, P2P, and O2C.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and work with senior team members on solutions.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and driving change in complex environments.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience delivering transformation initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in virtual teams.
  • Proactive, organized, and self-motivated.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Alignment with RSM’s core values of excellence, teamwork, integrity, respect, and stewardship.

What we can offer you:

We offer a flexible reward and benefits package, including:

  • Hybrid working
  • 26 days holiday (with options to purchase additional days)
  • Wellbeing benefits, financial tools, electric car scheme, virtual GP access
  • Access to 300+ on-demand courses developed by our Talent Development team
