Job description

The Role:

In this role, you will focus on the deployment, maintenance, and onboarding to our Core ERP systems, NetSuite and SAP. These mission-critical systems are key to our financial processes, data management, and personnel operations, making them vital components of our successful finance function. You will work within our Core ERP team to deliver innovative technological solutions that meet the needs of our large finance user base.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver / Develop: Support the delivery of new or enhanced technological solutions within ION’s core finance applications to meet the evolving needs of our finance and commercial functions.
  2. Support / Enhance: Provide support to all users within ION Group’s finance applications through training, technical support, and system enhancement requests from our reporting teams.
  3. Onboard / Integrate: Assist in onboarding newly acquired businesses and integrating inherited applications into our core finance systems.
  4. Risk & Controls: Help implement a governance and controls framework across our financial applications to support the Group’s goal of achieving full audit reliance on IT general controls.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business.
  • 1-3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience working in project-based or deadline-driven environments, especially finance transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of industry-standard accounting practices (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with strategic and creative thinking to improve processes and organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualification is highly desirable.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to develop solutions across various situations.
  • Business analytics expertise and high IT literacy to propose and implement solutions.
  • Experience with or management of cloud-based ERP systems, especially NetSuite ERP or SAP, is a major advantage.
