Yolk Recruitment is assisting a Swansea-based housing association to recruit a Senior Finance Officer. This role combines management accounting, team leadership and process improvement within a collaborative finance team.

You will report to the Finance Manager, supervise three Finance Assistants, and oversee month-end reporting, financial controls and VAT returns. Hybrid working with 40% office-based, 35-hour week, and a salary of £38,700.

Formación

• Experience producing management accounts.
• Strong month-end knowledge: accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Experience supervising finance staff and providing guidance.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise a team of three Finance Assistants and mentor staff.
• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation.
• Produce monthly financial reports for multiple departments.
• Manage month-end activities including accruals and reconciliations.
• Oversee financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Review purchase/sales ledgers and cashbook entries.
• Prepare VAT returns and coordinate with housing management system.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting using Excel.
• Identify process improvements and drive efficiencies.
• Support payroll during holidays.
