Job summary

Midas Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Finance Specialist to support the UK Finance team. The role covers accounts receivable and payable control, processing invoices, and assisting with tax accounting and regulatory compliance.

You will produce financial reports, support month-end processes, and help maintain strong internal controls. A qualification in accounting is preferred, with SAP experience advantageous and strong Excel skills expected.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial administration.
• Excellent numerical skills and commercial/business acumen.
• Experience with accounting software and general ledger processes.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with cross-functional and international teams is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate weekly and monthly financial reports and management packs.
• Support month-end procedures and ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including invoices and reconciliations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs and bank/cashbook reconciliations.
• Compute VAT returns, corporation tax and deferred tax; ensure compliance.
• Prepare audit files and liaise with auditors and external stakeholders.
• Assist with budget planning and financial controls; improve processes.
• Maintain fixed asset records and coordinate with customers and suppliers.
