What you’ll do

As the finance system manager, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations. You will be responsible for establishing robust and effective system controls around our financial transactions. You will lead ongoing and future enhancements to guarantee timely and high-quality financial reporting. As a senior member of the Finance team, you will drive a customer-centric ethos and a culture of continuous improvement within our Finance team, ensuring all finance services deliver the best outcomes for our residents.

How you’ll do it

  1. Administer the chart of accounts, P2P, management, and financial monitoring and reporting.
  2. Oversee system controls such as user IDs, access rights, authorizations, and budget limits.
  3. Build and maintain good relationships with the NHG IT team and other suppliers to ensure finance systems are integrated into the overall IT strategy.
  4. Design and deliver training courses on the D365 accounting system.
  5. Manage change control processes for the accounting system, including maintenance of the chart of accounts and controls related to new accounts and housekeeping reviews.
  6. Continuously review the effectiveness of interfaces into the D365 system, ensuring finance is involved in IT framework changes.
  7. Manage reconciliation and interface processes between the accounting systems and other NHG systems.
  8. Support tracking and reporting of departmental KPIs for corrective actions.
  9. Assist in setting departmental standards and provide training as needed.
  10. Support annual audits from a finance system perspective.
  11. Manage and mentor finance systems analysts, fostering continuous learning and professional development.
