Description

Finance Systems Analyst

Location: We have a blended work to your diary approach where we flex where, when and how we work with attendance at our hubs when required.

This role is a 12 month FTC and is to support the delivery and implementation of a new Azure-hosted technical solution that will transform how our internal debt recovery team operates in line with our product roadmap.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse business requirements, Finance configuration and processes for the new debt solution.

Ensure seamless finance data exchange between the new solution and existing Finance systems.

Play a vital role in enhancing financial reporting capability, improving data integrity.

This role is critical in ensuring the successful transition to the new solution, optimising Finance workflows, improving data accuracy and delivering a user friendly solution for finance teams.

What you will be doing

Business Requirements Analysis:

  • Collaborate with finance, business and IT teams to gather and document detailed business requirements
  • Identify key reporting needs, data requirements and process workflows

Data Migration and Transition Support:

  • Assist in the transfer of any required financial data to and from the new application
  • Ensure data is accurately mapped and transferred
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data

Documentation and process flow:

  • Document finance system configurations, data models and report structures to provide clear, comprehensive references for both current and future use
  • Maintain detailed records of processes, flows and decisions made throughout the project for clarity and knowledge sharing

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing including user acceptance testing, system integration testing and data validation to ensure the new solution meets business requirements and is free from errors
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to resolve issues, ensuring the system functions smoothly and as expected

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Share knowledge, system expertise and documentation to upskill other Finance Systems team members and build long-term capability within the finance systems function
  • Post implementation support
  • Provide post-implementation support to address any system issues and ensure continuous improvement
  • Collect feedback from users to identify opportunities for further improvements to the system
What you will need
  • Deep understanding of finance operations and systems
  • Strong understanding of finance systems, server and database structures
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial processes and accounting rules
  • Demonstrable knowledge of accounting systems gained within the legal sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL server and related products (SSRS, SSIS)
  • Experience with Aderant legal software an advantage
