We're looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to sit at the intersection of our finance and technology functions. This is a hands-on, varied role: you'll own the administration of our practice management system, Elite 3E, and its integration with bespoke software solutions while also supporting the wider finance team with data extracts, Excel-based analysis, and Power BI reporting.
You'll be the go-to person for finance system queries, working cross functions to drive improvements in this area in a newly created role. If you enjoy solving problems, working closely with a knowledgeable team, and turning data into clear insight, this role is a great fit.
The ideal candidate will be resilient, commercially driven, and will champion our culture and values: Compassionomics, Laser-like Focus, Humour and Boundaryless.

User & Access Management
- Set up, maintain, and deactivate user accounts and roles within Elite 3E in line with access control policies.
- Set up and maintain fee earner profiles across systems, ensuring data is processed accurately and preventing failures caused by system dependencies.
System Configuration & Data Integrity
- Administer and maintain system configuration, including matter types, billing arrangements, general ledger accounts, and finance workflows.
- Carry out routine system housekeeping and maintenance, including data integrity checks and period-end support activities.
- Monitor the integrity of various sub-ledgers in Elite 3E, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner, and support month-end balancing of sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
Stakeholder Management, Testing & Documentation
- Act as the first point of contact for finance and other gcTrust teams on finance system related issues, taking ownership through to resolution.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders on system updates, patches, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate finance User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release testing for system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes, working with vendors and internal stakeholders to plan test cycles, track issues, and confirm sign-off before go-live.
- Document system processes, configuration changes, and user guidance materials.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across the various finance team’s system interactions
Data & Reporting
- Run scheduled and ad hoc data extracts across systems to support finance operations and management reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency between Elite 3E and integrated systems, identifying and correcting failures on a routine basis.
- Work with the finance team to understand reporting requirements and translate them into reliable, repeatable outputs.
- Support the finance team with development of Excel-based reports, dashboards, and data models to enhance the function and quality of reporting.
- Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports, translating complex financial data into clear visual insight.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting processes with accurate, timely data for financial reporting and audit purposes.

- Strong SQL skills, including the development of complex queries, stored procedures, views, and data analysis to support business and operational reporting.
- Strong Excel skills, comfortable with complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and data modelling.
- Practical experience with Power BI: building reports, managing data sources, and creating clear, user-friendly dashboards.
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach to data and system administration.
- Clear, confident communicator, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical colleagues.
- Self-starter who can manage their own workload and prioritise effectively in a busy environment, with previous experience of driving improvements and efficiency in a similar role
