A professional services firm in Scotland is recruiting for a 6-month fixed-term position to assist in the implementation of a new Practice Management System. Key tasks include developing financial reports, designing an Accounts Payable process, and collaborating with other finance teams to document updated procedures. Develop and build financial reports within the new Practice Management System to enable accurate and timely reporting of management information to internal stakeholders and partners.
Review converted data in financial reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of migrated information from legacy systems.
Design and implement an Accounts Payable (AP) process, including necessary internal controls to manage vendor setup, data amendments, and invoice processing in the new system.
Support the development of Finance-specific security roles within the new PMS, ensuring appropriate access levels and segregation of duties, and establish an ongoing administration process for maintaining those roles.
Collaborate with other Finance teams to document updated procedures resulting from system changes, promoting consistent application of new workflows and processes.
Undertake ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller or COO, providing flexible support to ensure the successful implementation of the new PMS.
Document all new processes introduced through the PMS implementation, including detailed workflows and identification of key control points, to minimise risk and standardise operations.
Ensure adherence to internal control requirements by validating that identified risks are appropriately addressed through documented controls, reducing the potential for errors or fraudulent activities.
