We're offering an exciting opportunity for a Finance Systems Analyst to join the Finance Systems Team at the Wellcome Sanger Institute.

About the Role:

You will play a key role in supporting our critical Finance and Procurement platforms, including Unit4 and Adaptive, as we prepare for a major transformation.

We're currently in the process of selecting a new ERP system - with Oracle Fusion and Microsoft Dynamics under consideration - and this role will be instrumental in supporting stakeholders through a smooth and successful transition from our existing systems to the new platform.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting existing systems, performing day-to-day administration and monitoring of both Unit4 Finance system and Adaptive forecasting system.
• Providing help-desk assistance to users across the institute - troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly.
• Being a key member for the Data Migration project.
• Participating in the new ERP system design team to assist the implementation partner in finding the optimal out-of-the-box solution for Sanger.
• Ensuring system compliance with company policies, procedures, and protocols for standards, customizations, and changes.
• Leading user training initiatives.
• Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a focus on delivering benefits for internal customers.

About You:

You will be an adaptable and collaborative professional with a strong interest in finance systems and continuous improvement. Whether you come from a technical or finance background, you're confident working with systems like Unit4, Adaptive, or similar, and enjoy solving problems, supporting colleagues, and helping teams optimize their tools. You value clear communication, are comfortable with change, and bring a proactive, inclusive approach to your work. Most importantly, you're a team player motivated by making a positive impact.

Essential Technical Skills:

• Part-qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience supporting finance systems (Unit4, Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Demonstrable experience in Financial Budgeting and Planning systems, with Adaptive Insight preferred.

Other Information:

We offer a flexible work ethic and hybrid working after initial campus training, with at least two days onsite per week.

Salary Range (Dependent on skills and experience):

Grade 1: £54,995 to £65,000
