Ellisons is seeking a Finance Support Assistant to join the finance team in Colchester on a permanent basis. You will support finance and legal cashiering, ensuring accurate transactions, efficient billing and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor cash flow, assist with invoices and ledgers, and help with supplier queries, expenses and payment runs. A detail-oriented, proactive communicator is ideal for this role.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a finance or professional services environment is advantageous.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Aufgaben

• Monitor online banking, record payments and update ledgers.
• Check payment instructions and ensure internal procedures are followed.
• Assist with billing: invoices, completion statements, bills and credit notes.
• Support residual balances in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Handle enquiries, credit card reconciliations and online payments.
• Support purchase ledger activities and supplier queries.
• Process employee expenses and payment runs.
• Review standing orders and direct debits; provide cover for the finance team.
