We are looking for a Finance Specialist, Capital & Lease Accounting to join our Financial Operations team based in Cardiff, as part of Finance Central. This is a permanent contract.
Financial Operations provides professional financial support to a range of BBC stakeholders as part of the BBC’s Finance function. The Capital and leasing function ensures effective control of processes relating to Capital Accounting (including Assets Under Construction) and IFRS16 leases and delivers high quality and consistent operational excellence.
The Finance Specialist will:
Experience and knowledge of IFRS 16 accounting is essential. You will have strong analytical skills and be fully qualified with a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA). Financial Reporting and/or management accounting knowledge and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, both within Finance Central and with the other divisions is especially important in this role. You will be required to operate independently but effective team playing is also important due to the nature and size of the Finance team.
