Job summary

The Core Technology Team at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) invites applications for a 12-week Software Engineer Summer Internship in London. You will work on real projects with experienced engineers in the Optimisation Core Technology Team within Post Trade Engineering.

Eligible candidates are in the penultimate year of their undergraduate or final year and plan to pursue a Masters in 2027/28 in Computer Science, Engineering, or related tech fields.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of Python for executable programs (PyData affinity preferred).
• Collaborate with others using strong communication skills.
• Curiosity for data and ability to draw insights and solutions.
• Familiarity with UNIX command line.
• Some experience with AWS and/or frontend development is a plus.
• Ideal candidates have the right to work in London (or NYC) for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building data quality workflows for financial data.
• Collaborate with Analytics to leverage pricing algorithms in DQ checks.
• Build internal portal screens used by Product to perform optimisations.
• Implement connectivity to external booking systems and trade stores.
• Enhance the task queueing system to improve resource utilisation.
