Job summary

The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is offering a 12-week Software Engineer Summer Internship in its Post Trade Solutions (PTS) engineering team. The programme starts in June 2027 and targets penultimate-year undergraduates or final-year students in Computer Science or related tech fields.

The successful intern will work with a team of 5–10 engineers, solving real problems and collaborating with Product Development to enhance services for clients using Python, AWS, and cloud-based systems.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of python for executable & repeatable programs.
• Affinity to PyData stack is preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Curiosity for data and ability to analyse information.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds software in Python as part of a team.
• Collaborates with Product Development to implement feedback from clients.
• Researches improvements to applications and the software environment.
• Implements connectivity to external booking systems and trade stores.
• Enhances the task queueing system to improve resource utilisation.
