Egis Group is seeking a Finance Shared Services Manager to oversee UK operations. This role, based in London, entails ensuring efficient delivery of shared services while promoting innovation and managing a dedicated team. You will work closely with stakeholders to enhance processes and address complex financial challenges, contributing to sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Egis is a global consulting and engineering firm working in construction, transport and mobility services. Joining our Group and its 19,000 employees means, above all, sharing our values as a people-first company, strongly committed to sustainability and innovation.
As one of the world’s leading consultancy, construction engineering and operating firms, we hold ourselves responsible for today’s biggest challenges; fighting climate change, the digital transition and meeting the needs of growing populations. We do this by designing smart, green infrastructure, transport and buildings, creating a sustainable future for communities everywhere.
In the UK we're proud to be delivering some of the most iconic projects which help connect people, protect our environment and meet emission reduction targets. From motorways to tramways, nuclear power plants to smart cities, clients choose us to help them solve their most complex challenges - delivering climate-responsible growth that meets the needs of communities, industry, and the planet.
The Egis Group has recently implemented a matrix model, introducing dual governance through the regions in addition to the Business Lines. Consequently we have moved to consolidate corporate services in the UK to serve all Business Lines, delivering both dedicated business partnering and shared services.
This role forms part of the finance team in the UK, reporting to the Head of Finance Shared Services and managing the delivery of shared services across the UK. The scope of the shared services cover payables and payroll, invoicing and treasury management, and reporting and compliance.
The finance function has been through a period of transformation over the past year, with entity specific finance resources being centralised into one UK finance team, and the migration onto a new ERP, Oracle. This role must now build upon that progress, and ensure that all shared service activities have the correct level of stewardship, and demonstrable SLAs are in place, and regularly communicated to key stakeholders.
There is a strong emphasis on people management to ensure the successful functioning of the team. This role would be based at our London offices near Waterloo. We operate a hybrid working policy but this role would require a minimum of 3 days in the office each week.
Responsibilities:
By joining Egis, as well as receiving a competitive salary, you’ll also have the opportunity to explore flexible working arrangements.
We are committed to our planet
In each project we design, engineer and operate we care deeply about the legacy we’re leaving behind. As part of our team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to use your skills and expertise to shape a better future for our communities in the UK, and all around the globe. Our commitment is translated in the work carried out by our Egis Foundation, which funds concrete actions to address the climate crisis and is focused on educational and social initiatives that will help in the responsible and sustainable shift towards a sustainable world.
