Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Head of Finance Risk in Edinburgh with hybrid working options across locations including Bristol and Halifax. The role leads SOX, risk management and control transformation, partnering with Finance leadership to drive outcomes and automation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years post-qualification experience, a strong background in financial reporting risk, and a track record of leading large Finance teams and strategic advisory to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years post-qualification experience as a leader in financial reporting.
• 5+ years’ experience in leading Financial Reporting Risk, including SOX programme in a large organisation, preferably in Banking.
• Extensive business partnering experience with strategic advisory to senior Finance leaders.
• Leading a large Finance team with drive, energy and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the Finance business partnering agenda and SOX program delivery.
• Improve performance and remediation results; address issues promptly and hold owners accountable.
• Support automation and standardisation of the control environment across divisions.
• Champion innovation in assurance using data and AI-assisted testing techniques.
• Deliver strategic recommendations on risk, controls, and regulatory matters.
• Inspire and develop a large Finance team; enable executive governance and reporting.
