Job description

The ESG Finance Reporting Specialist will be a key member of the Group Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Reporting Manager. They will oversee the ESG financial reporting process, working closely with the Sustainability team and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, in line with external standards.

They will also drive operational excellence in the ESG reporting process, collaborating with the Sustainability and Finance teams to develop a robust finance reporting model and monitor the evolving landscape to ensure the Group’s reporting keeps pace with required standards and best practices.

THE ROLE

The ESG Finance Reporting Specialist will be a key member of the Group Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Reporting Manager. They will oversee the ESG financial reporting process, working closely with the Sustainability team and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, in line with external standards.

They will also drive operational excellence in the ESG reporting process, collaborating with the Sustainability and Finance teams to develop a robust finance reporting model and monitor the changing landscape to ensure the Group’s reporting remains compliant and up-to-date.

OPPORTUNITIES

• You will support the overall ESG and taxonomy approach for the Group and ensure accurate ESG financial reporting that complies with external standards and regulatory frameworks.
• You will work with the Sustainability team to design a comprehensive ESG reporting data model that integrates financial data for transparent and comprehensive reporting.
• You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments (e.g., Finance, SaaS/Cloud, Procurement, Risk, Operations) to ensure alignment on ESG initiatives.
• You will monitor ESG reporting standards and industry best practices, proposing new strategies and innovations proactively.
• You will support the development and implementation of the Group’s climate transition plan, developing and monitoring relevant metrics and targets.
• You will work closely with the Head of Group Reporting and Group Financial Reporting Manager on ad hoc activities and projects.

SKILLS

• You should be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in medium to large-scale environments.
• You should have strong analytical skills to evaluate ESG factors from both financial and sustainability perspectives.
• You should possess problem-solving skills to identify solutions aligning with financial and ethical objectives.
• You should have effective communication skills to convey complex sustainability information clearly to diverse audiences.
• You should be a team player, capable of building relationships across the organization.
• You should be open to innovation and adaptable to changing sustainability trends.
• You should have up-to-date knowledge of IFRS reporting standards and experience in financial reporting.
• You should have a strong understanding of evolving ESG reporting standards (ESRS, ISSB, IFRS) and regulatory frameworks like the EU Taxonomy.
