Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a major Finance BI transformation programme in London. You will lead requirements gathering, specification development, UAT and change management across Finance and BI teams as part of migrating to a Microsoft Fabric FinanceBI semantic model.

The role is a 6-month initial contract, outside IR35, paying £450-500 per day, with London-based work and 1-2 days per week on-site.

Qualifications

• Senior or Lead BI/Analytics professional with experience in BI, Data Warehouse, Analytics or Data Platform programmes.
• Proven track record gathering requirements and leading UAT processes.
• Strong stakeholder management across Finance and Technology teams.
• Experience mentoring Business Analysts in a project environment.
• Experience in Finance Reporting or Finance Transformation programmes.
• Understanding data modelling, reporting and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements workshops with Finance stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Own UAT planning and defect triage processes.

Finance BI Transformation | Microsoft Fabric | Outside IR35

£450-500 per day Outside IR35 6 Month Initial Contract London (1-2 Days Per Week)

A leading global consultancy is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a major Finance BI transformation programme. The organisation is migrating finance reporting from legacy SQL Server and SSAS environments into a consolidated Microsoft Fabric FinanceBI semantic model, creating a modern reporting and analytics capability across key finance functions.

This is a highly visible role where you'll act as the senior functional lead across requirements gathering, specification development, UAT and change management, whilst helping bring structure and direction to a growing BA function.

The Role

You’ll work closely with Finance stakeholders, Architects, Developers and the wider BI team to translate business requirements into scalable reporting and data solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading requirements gathering workshops with Finance stakeholders
• Converting business requirements into detailed functional specifications
• Acting as the key liaison between Finance and technology teams
• Defining data model, reporting and governance requirements
• Supporting the design of scalable ETL and reporting solutions
• Owning UAT planning, execution support and defect triage processes
• Designing and coordinating change management activities for go-lives
• Producing process maps, data dictionaries and requirements documentation
• Providing leadership and structure to the wider BA pod
• Supporting delivery across multiple Finance BI workstreams

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

• Strong experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst delivering BI, Data Warehouse, Analytics or Data Platform programmes
• Proven track record gathering requirements, producing detailed functional specifications and leading UAT processes
• Strong stakeholder management across both Finance and Technology teams
• Experience leading or mentoring Business Analysts within a project environment
• Experience working on Finance Reporting, Finance Transformation or Finance Systems programmes
• Strong understanding of data modelling, reporting and analytics solutions
• Ability to bring structure and governance to a fast-moving agile delivery environment
