Reed Reading Office seeks a Finance Reconciliation Officer to support the Finance Department of an Independent School on a temporary basis. You will reconcile supplier and customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and provide accurate financial reporting to the Bursar.

The role requires strong Sage Accounting skills and advanced Excel, with a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience using Sage Accounting Software.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and SUMIFS.
• Experience reconciling supplier and customer accounts.
• Understanding of Purchase and Sales Ledgers, payments, and credit notes.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical ability.

Aufgaben

• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts to keep balances accurate.
• Investigate historical discrepancies and missing transactions.
• Collect and organise invoices, statements, payments, and credit notes.
• Identify aged balances, duplicate transactions, and unapplied payments.
• Use Sage and Excel to generate reconciliation schedules and reports.
• Maintain audit trails and present findings to the Bursar.
• Escalate significant issues with proposed solutions.
