Job summary

HSL Compliance is seeking a Finance Assistant to support Belfast operations across finance, purchasing, sales administration and credit control. The role combines day-to-day transactional finance with procurement, invoicing and month-end reporting, working with Head Office, engineers, customers, suppliers and the external accountant.

The ideal candidate enjoys numbers, has strong attention to detail and can manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance assistant, accounts assistant or similar role.
• Experience with credit control and communicating with customers about overdue payments.
• Knowledge of Xero and Dext is advantageous; Sage or another accounting system considered.

Responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase invoices from Dext into Xero with correct coding.
• Prepare creditor payment runs and submit payments to the bank.
• Allocate customer payments to debtor accounts and reconcile bank statements.
• Carry out regular credit control and contact customers regarding overdue invoices.
• Process payroll timesheets and liaise with the accountant before month-end.
