Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a finance leader to manage a project accounting team, support Project Managers, and ensure timely set-up, forecasting, billing and month-end reporting in line with IFRS. You will partner with Business Directors to optimise working capital and drive improvements across the finance function.

The role requires experience in a medium/large organisation, strong Excel/ERP skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Part qualified accounting qualification or equivalent by experience.
• Ability to organise, motivate and develop a team.
• Relevant experience in a medium/large organisation.
• Excel and ERP to a medium proficiency.
• Attention to detail and consistent high standards.
• Good inter-personal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective management to engage, motivate and develop all direct reports.
• Build trusted relationships with Business Directors to ensure appropriate quality and service.
• Drive improvements in working capital by reviewing and driving billing/cash collection.
• Train Project Managers on Oracle and support where required.
• Advise Project Managers on efficient project set-up structures, ensuring revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS.
• Identify continuous improvement and encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across the wider finance team.
• Support Project Managers to reforecast projects as required; identify and challenge project performance changes to drive accuracy of month end reporting.
• Support on project reviews as required; report any risks identified to management.
• Ensure reliable and accurate month end reporting of project performance.
• Support Business Partners interpret month end results.
• Comply with Arcadis Way policies and procedures.
