Keeler Recruitment Ltd is supporting an established business in South Norfolk with the recruitment of an experienced Finance & Payroll Officer. The role covers both finance and payroll in a hands-on environment, with ownership of accurate financial records and timely payroll processing.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years in accounting, payroll experience, and VAT returns preparation. AAT Level 3 or equivalent is desirable, along with strong organisational skills and the ability

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & Finance: Maintaining accurate financial records; preparing management accounts; VAT returns; assisting with financial statements; managing credit control; supporting costing and financial analysis.
• Payroll: Processing monthly payroll; ensuring accurate payroll calculations; managing pension auto-enrolment; maintaining payroll records; responding to payroll queries.

Finance & Payroll Officer

Location: South Norfolk

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent | Full-time

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and is comfortable taking ownership of both finance and payroll responsibilities.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll processes and supporting the wider financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Finance

• Maintaining accurate financial records.
• Preparing management accounts and supporting financial reporting.
• Reviewing and preparing VAT returns.
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements.
• Managing credit control and monitoring outstanding payments.
• Supporting costing activities and financial analysis.
• Ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date.

Payroll

• Processing monthly payroll.
• Ensuring accurate and timely payroll calculations.
• Managing pension auto-enrolment requirements.
• Maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Responding to payroll-related queries.

About You

We are looking for an organised, proactive and experienced finance professional who can confidently manage a varied workload and enjoys being involved in the day-to-day financial operations of a business.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of three years' experience in accounting.
• Previous experience processing payroll.
• Experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns.
• AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
