Job summary

Synergi is seeking a Finance Operations Assistant to join the Finance team and ensure financial operations are accurate, efficient and ready to support the next phase of our journey.

The role delivers accurate processing across purchase and sales ledgers, cashbook administration, expenses, and stakeholder query management while maintaining strong controls and data quality. Based in Gateshead, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and automate where possible.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Operations role.
• Experience processing financial transactions and maintaining records.
• Experience supporting supplier, customer or internal stakeholder queries.
• Experience working with finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience reconciling financial information and investigating discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely processing of finance transactions across multiple ledgers.
• Support efficient payment processing and working capital management.
• Maintain high levels of financial control, compliance and data accuracy.
• Provide excellent support to colleagues, suppliers and customers.
