Job summary

Occam Industries, a British defence-tech company, seeks a Finance & Operations Manager to oversee payroll, onboarding, and day-to-day admin across finance and people ops. You will act as the glue between CFO, bookkeepers and the wider team, ensuring timely information flow.

The role offers growth as the company scales post-Series A, with opportunities to shape finance and HR processes, build systems, and collaborate with external partners.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a finance, operations or office/people-ops role.
• Started and owned tasks end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Experience with payroll, expenses or accounts payable admin.

Responsibilities

• Run monthly payroll processes and onboarding/offboarding.
• Support CFO with finance admin, invoices and payment runs.
• Manage international contractors and employees on Deel.
• Set up and improve HR/finance tooling and processes as we scale.
• Assist with board packs, budgets, investor reporting and fundraising prep.
