Job summary

Design Council in London is seeking a high-calibre, hands-on senior finance leader to own the organisation's financial results, controls and processes. You will partner with department heads to develop annual budgets and track performance across projects and staffing, ensuring robust forecasting and insightful management information.

You will drive data-driven decision making while overseeing IT systems and licensing, maintaining a fit-for-purpose ERP setup and ensuring compliance with charity

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified finance professional (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).
• At least 5 years working in a managerial finance/operational role.
• Business partnering experience is essential.
• Knowledge of charity accounting and VAT matters preferred.
• Experience with IT systems management and data governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial results, controls and processes of the organisation.
• Support departmental heads in annual budgeting and performance tracking.
• Deliver robust financial reporting and forecasting including cash flow.
• Provide timely management information to enable data-driven decisions.
• Oversee IT landscape, systems optimization and licensing controls.
• Ensure service providers deliver according to SLAs and governance.
• Maintain MS Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP setup and integrations.
• Lead quality management and process excellence including procurement and contracts.
• Work with HR on joiner/leaver processes and access controls.
• Contribute to strategy development as a member of SMT and with the COO.
