Job summary

Sewell Wallis Ltd, on behalf of a globally recognised organisation, is investing in its finance function and seeks a talented, qualified accountant to help lead the way. Working closely with the Finance Director and Head of Finance, you’ll lead the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll teams, own the cash cycle and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead finance teams including AR, AP and Payroll.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and control mindset.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Experience with data manipulation and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AR, AP and Payroll teams with regular reviews and appraisals.
• Own cash management including short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee credit reviews and aged debt reduction initiatives.
• Ensure payroll and pension payroll accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
• Deliver timely period-end close across AR, AP and Payroll and related reporting.
• Support internal and external audits, statutory accounts preparation and tax computations.
