Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Finance Operations Business Partner to partner with the senior operational team, including the Regional General Managers, to provide accurate and timely key financial metrics to support and shape the financial performance of multiple depots within a specific region.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00

  • Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in delivering timely, accurate, insightful financial information, including supporting renewals or new business.
  • Responsible for delivering budgets, forecasts, and rolling forecasts for their sites.
  • Manage financial customer relationships, leading monthly reviews and preparing customer packs.
  • Produce key financial metrics to support weekly costings commentary, including presenting variance analysis to the senior operations team and highlighting areas of operational and commercial focus.
  • Lead and present customer profitability analysis to the senior operations team.
  • Manage and develop a small finance team of up to 5 Assistant and Management Accountants.
  • Support the finance team in delivering monthly management accounts and analyzing variances.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Assist with various project tasks as required by the General Manager and Senior Finance Business Partner.
  • Manage customer debt and update the company's cash flow forecast.
Qualifications
  • Experience in FP&A profession.
  • Attention to detail and an analytical approach.
  • Experience in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and income deferral.
  • A questioning and inquisitive approach with a desire to find more efficient methods of providing accurate financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Hardworking, flexible, and committed to meeting deadlines.
