Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly cash forecasts and manage cash flow, including identifying investment opportunities.
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory returns.
• Liaise with Underwriters, Brokers and senior management to ensure overdue premium collection.
• Liaise with operations and outsourced service providers to ensure accurate processing of premium.
• Work with detailed spreadsheets to analyze and review financial data.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and assist finance projects and process improvements.
• Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial data.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly cash forecasts and manage cash flow, including identifying investment opportunities.
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory returns (including US and Canadian packs).
• Liaise with Underwriters, Brokers and senior management to ensure that overdue premium is collected in a timely manner.
• Laise with operations and outsourced service providers to ensure the accurate processing of premium.
• Work with detailed and complex spreadsheets to analyze and review financial data.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and assist finance projects and process improvements.
• Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial data.

Qualifications

• Good PC skills, with proficiency in Excel.
• The ideal candidate would be eager to develop a career in finance and grow within the department.
• Basis insurance knowledge is advantageous, but not essential.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
