Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Finance & Operations Analyst to support an aerospace client in Gloucester on a six-month contract. The role focuses on liaising between finance and procurement, optimising working capital, and maintaining data accuracy on site.

Key duties include inventory analysis, reconciling overdue credits, stock take support, and improving financial processes. Strong accounting qualifications and SAP/Excel proficiency are expected for this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent.
• Experience in management accounting / financial analysis.
• Experience managing working capital (inventory, GRNI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Experience with SAP and advanced MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inventory analysis and system cleansing to improve data accuracy.
• Proactively reconcile and recover overdue credits from suppliers.
• Assist with stock take activities and inventory reviews.
• Reconcile consignment stocks.
• Analyse and forecast buffer stocks and advanced payments to optimise working capital.
• Initiate routing updates to ensure accurate standard costing.
• Provide ad hoc support for financial process improvement and analysis tasks.

Finance & Operations Analyst; 6-month contract; £26.00 Gloucester; Inside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an experienced finance analyst /accountant to work with an aerospace client based in Gloucester. The role requires the post holder to liaise between finance and procurement and have a good understanding of working capital .This role will primarily be based on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inventory analysis and system cleansing to improve data accuracy
• Proactively reconcile and recover overdue credits from suppliers
• Assist with stock take activities and inventory reviews
• Reconcile consignment stocks
• Analyse and forecast buffer stocks and advanced payments to optimise working capital

Skills/Experience Required:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent
• Do you have previous management accounting / financial analyst experience
• Experience managing and optimising working capital (e.g. inventory, GRNI)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and organisational skills
