Depaul is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer in Northern Ireland to manage core accounts payable and receivable, end-to-end payroll, and management accounting support. You will play a key role in funder reporting and financial controls while balancing deadlines across diverse tasks.

The role is based at 449 Antrim Road, Belfast, offering a hybrid work pattern (2 days in the office, 3 days at home) and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a busy accounts function, including hands-on payroll experience.
• Experience using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
• Highly accurate and detail-focused approach to work.

Responsabilités

• Process invoices and payments for goods and services, coordinating with projects and suppliers.
• Prepare detailed aged creditor listings monthly and reconcile to statements.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
• Process monthly payroll accurately and within deadlines, liaising with HR and staff.
• Assist with funder returns and respond to funding queries.
• Track lodgements and monitor accounts receivable function.
• Prepare lodgements of fundraising income and assist with petty cash.
• Support internal audit processes and bank reconciliations.
• Undertake site visits to project locations as needed.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and respond to queries.
