A local government authority in the UK is looking for a Finance Officer to support financial systems and users. The role requires effective communication and the ability to deliver training programs. You'll maintain test systems, manage queries, and support development projects as the council transitions. This position offers a competitive pension and generous leave allowances.
The Financial Systems team is currently hosted by Cumberland Council but will disaggregate during this financial year so that each Council will have their own Financial Systems team. We are looking to recruit a Finance Officer within the newly established Westmorland & Furness Council Financial Systems team.
The post holder will work alongside the hosted team, which is based in Carlisle, until disaggregation takes place on 31st March 2026. This joint approach will allow for knowledge sharing and training for both Councils.
