Finance Officer – Early Years Funding

Location: Leamington Spa | Salary: £28,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Finance Officer looking to take the next step in your career? We’re recruiting for a Finance Officer with Early Years Funding experience, to join a well-established independent educational institution in Leamington Spa. With over 90 years of excellence in the sector, this organisation is known for delivering a bespoke learning experience and fostering strong community values. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit operations team in a full-time, 100% office-based role.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage monthly management accounts and produce reports aligned to departmental budgets.

  • Submit and reconcile Early Years Funding to the Local Authority and manage related reporting.

  • Process payroll, pension contributions, and staff expenses accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Manage income streams including invoicing for school fees and ensuring timely debt collection.

  • Support the wider finance team with administrative duties, reporting and financial planning.

What Experience is Required
  • Experience working in a finance role, ideally within an education or childcare environment.

  • Proficiency with financial systems such as Xero and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £28,000 per annum

Location

Based in central Leamington Spa, this role is easily commutable from Warwick, Kenilworth, Coventry, Rugby, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Banbury.
