Overview

Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust to recruit for the role of Finance Administrator - Band 3 in either Antrim Area Hospital or Greenmount House Ballymena.

Location: Antrim Area Hospital or Greenmount House, Ballymena

Directorate: Finance

Contract Type: Temporary Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: Band 3

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Trust, ensuring that resources are used effectively to deliver high-quality health and social care services across the region.

You will work closely with colleagues across departments to provide essential financial administration, analysis, and reporting support in a dynamic healthcare environment.

  • Provide accurate and timely financial administrative support.
  • Process and monitor invoices, payments, and budget information.
  • Assist with data entry, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and internal systems to record, track, and analyse financial data.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and service users, ensuring queries are resolved promptly.
  • Support the Finance Team in meeting deadlines and maintaining financial compliance.
Essential Criteria
  • EITHER Demonstrate 1 year's relevant finance experience
  • OR Hold a minimum of AS Level in Business/Finance (or equivalent QCF Level 3 qualification)
Other Requirements
  • Hold a current full UK driving licence and have access to a car for business purposes.
  • (This criterion will be waived for applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who can meet the mobility requirements of the post.)
Skills & Abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse financial information and clearly communicate findings.
Knowledge (assessed at interview/test)
  • Understanding of the structure and function of the Trust.
  • Awareness of key financial issues within Health and Social Care.
