The Role:
• Proactively manage purchase ledgers, addressing issues with insurers and staff
• Ensure timely settlement of purchase invoices in line with payment deadlines
• Maintain accurate audit trails of all postings and transactions
• Make and record payments in compliance with FCA regulations
• Manage company procedures, including staff expenses and company credit cards
• Identify and escalate anomalies in accounts with attention to detail
• Reconcile bank and supplier accounts accurately and on schedule
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues, Client Directors, and Account Executives
• Maintain accurate and timely client records in bespoke systems
• Support the achievement of team and business objectives through excellent client service
• Keep up to date with relevant regulatory requirements and best practice through ongoing CPD
• Exhibit the highest standards of professional behaviour in a regulated environment
The Person:
• Strong administrative, organisational, and numerical skills
• Previous experience working in a finance or accounts role, ideally within a regulated environment
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• Effective communicator with colleagues at all levels
• Commercial awareness with a proactive and solution-focused approach
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
• Competent user of finance systems and Microsoft Office
