The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a confident and efficient Accounts Officer to join their close-knit finance team for a 12 month maternity cover. This is a hands-on role where you'll need to hit the ground running, bringing speed, accuracy and a strong working knowledge of Xero.
What You'll Be Doing
* Running monthly payroll for four businesses using BrightPay
* Submitting HMRC and Nest payments accurately and on time
* Raising and managing invoices to local authorities
* Preparing intepany invoices within the group
* Monitoring iing and outgoing payments
* Processing remittances and updating systems like Monday and Client Index
* Chasing outstanding payments to support healthy cash flow
* Keeping digital and physical records well organised and audit ready
* Supporting the Finance Manager and Director with general finance tasks
What We're Looking For
* Strong experience using Xero (essential)
* A good understanding of HMRC processes, VAT and payroll
* Experience with BrightPay or similar payroll software
* Strong bookkeeping skills and the ability to work independently
* Someone proactive, responsible, and aligned with the values of the care sector

Need to Know
