Overview

A business based in Scarborough is recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) and a salary of circa £28,000 to £32,000, plus further benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with regular financial functions, including preparing BACs runs for suppliers.
  • Weekly bank reconciliation
  • Monthly update of the fixed asset register
  • Assist in production of monthly management reports, managing budget allocation and cost analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist with budget related activities
  • Assist with Payroll administration
Requirements
  • Strong organisational, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software, with the ability to manage invoicing and reporting
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • AAT qualified or similar level experience (QBE)
  • Previous experience of responsibility for accounts function in small to medium sized business
