Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a Finance Officer for a temporary 3-month assignment with a well-established Not for profit organisation in the North East. The role focuses on processing payables/receivables, reconciliations, budgeting support and month-end tasks in a busy finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in not-for-profit finance is preferred.
• Experience in transactional or management accounting within a busy team.

Responsibilities

• Processing and monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assisting with budget monitoring and financial reporting.
• Performing bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations.
• Supporting month-end and year-end finance processes.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Assisting with grant funding and project expenditure monitoring where required.
• Resolving financial queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and administrative duties.

£21.40 per hour

A well-established Not for profit organisation in the North East is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join its finance team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who has gained ideally experience working within a not-for-profit environment to quickly integrate into a busy finance function and provide support across a range of financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing and monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assisting with budget monitoring and financial reporting
• Performing bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations
• Supporting month-end and year-end finance processes
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Assisting with grant funding and project expenditure monitoring where required

Knowledge & Skills

• Ideally previous experience working within a not-for-profit organisation
• Experience operating within a transactional or management accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of financial systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of stakeholders
