Qualifications

  • Experience working within a finance team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable function for timely processing of invoices.
  • Manage the Purchase Request process and ensure timely submission of Purchase Orders.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and ensure payments are current.

Salary: Up to £26,924 per annum

Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable function to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and credit notes in line with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Manage the Purchase Request process, ensuring timely approval and submission of Purchase Orders to suppliers.
  • Perform monthly checks to clear unnecessary Purchase Order lines.
  • Manage new supplier account requests, advise on terms, set up bank records, and verify bank account changes.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts, ensure payments are up to date, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and review periodic supplier payment runs.
Skills and Experience
  • Experience working within a finance team.
  • Experience working with decision-makers and senior management.
  • Support experience for non-finance staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills using various technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.

  • Ability to manage large transaction volumes.
  • Strong financial skills.
  • Clear and tactful communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills with minimal supervision.
