Job summary

United Learning Trust in Cambridge is seeking a Finance Officer to join a small team and support the Deputy Executive Business Manager, ensuring accurate financial administration across five partner schools.

You will work closely with school Principals and Senior Leadership Teams to oversee finances, maintain proper accounting procedures, and contribute to prudent financial management and reporting.

Qualifications

• Provide administrative support to the Deputy Executive Business Manager.
• Assist with maintaining proper accounting procedures across the Trust.
• Support the Finance Team and liaise with school SLT and Principals.

Responsibilities

• Support the Deputy Executive Business Manager in day-to-day financial administration.
• Collaborate with Principals and SLTs to manage school finances.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures and safeguarding requirements.

Job description

United Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a Finance Officer, supporting our five established schools in Cambridge. These schools are Cambridge Academy of Science and Technology, Coleridge Community College, The Galfrid Primary School, Parkside Community College and Trumpington Community College.

The successful candidate will be a part of a small team, supporting the Deputy Executive Business Manager, and working closely with the schools’ Principals and Senior Leadership Teams as well as the Trust’s Finance Business Partner and Management Accountant to provide prudent oversight and management of the schools’ finances.

You will provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Deputy Executive Business Manager, by ensuring that proper accounting procedures are maintained across the Trust.
