Job description

Finance Manager - UKI Gaming: Strategy & Content

Your Team

Reporting into the Head of Finance: Strategic Projects and Growth, this role will be pivotal in accelerating growth within our Gaming business. It's not a traditional finance role - you'll sit at the intersection of strategy and commercial execution, working collaboratively to ensure opportunities are evaluated through a financial lens and that decisions are grounded in robust analysis.

Your focus will extend beyond the numbers to influencing the strategic direction in which our Gaming business continues to evolve into.

Execution of key 'Big Bets' in the Gaming space will be central to this role. You'll help identify market gaps and opportunities to enhance customer experience, closely monitoring competitors and collaborating with BI and Research teams to prioritise deep dives and insights accordingly.

Given the critical role of content in Gaming, being a trusted partner to the UKI Content Leadership Team (LT) will be critical.

What you will do
  • You'll work across Strategy, BI, Research, Content, Brand Commercial teams and more - to ensure Gaming remains front of mind and growth is fully realised.
  • Deliver competitor and market intelligence to inform strategy, growth opportunities, and commercial decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy team to assess new market opportunities, business models and initiatives.
  • Partnering the UKI BI team in prioritising relevant actionable insights in understanding our customers and the opportunities that exist.
  • Support, build and interrogate robust cases.
  • Providing expertise to Content LT on commercial strategy and challenging their assumptions when necessary.
  • Work closely with the Content Director and team to ensure we're operating as efficiently as possible when it comes to royalties.
How you'll do it
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to leadership - growth-oriented, decisive, and passionate about delivering tangible outcomes.
  • Be passionate about Gaming with a strong grasp of external market dynamics.
  • Demonstrate strong financial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to quickly interpret complex data to guide business decisions.
  • Bring sharp commercial judgment and business partnering experience, with the ability to articulate financial performance in a clear, compelling manner. Strong story telling skills required.
  • Work closely with both brand and FP&A finance teams as well as Investor Relations on the latest goings on in Gaming.
  • Excel at internal partner management, influence, and collaboration within a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Ideally but not essential, have experience of operating both within a divisional and brand role previously to help navigate the ways of working.
What's in it for you
  • Flexible ways of working - home or office, it's your choice!
  • £1,000 learning fund
  • Unlimited holiday
  • Twice-yearly bonus (with part of it guaranteed!)
  • Pension contribution scheme
  • Private healthcare
  • Access to thousands of Udemy courses
  • Invest via the Company Sharesave Scheme
  • 16 hours paid volunteering time per year
