Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions and their teams,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop AR and AP teams with clear objectives and high-quality service.
• Oversee credit control activities and debt collection.
• Ensure timely processing of customer invoicing, credit notes, supplier payments, and cashiering.
• Manage cash allocation, bank reconciliations, and supplier account reconciliations.
• Monitor aged debtors and creditors to optimise working capital.
• Act as finance contact for the international Shared Service Centre.
• Develop and report operational performance metrics across transactional finance activities.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Support month-end, year-end, audit, forecasting and business planning.
• Contribute to governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.

The Opportunity

This is a visible role that combines operational leadership with continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with both UK-based stakeholders and an international Shared Service Centre, ensuring strong service delivery, effective cash flow management, and the ongoing development of transactional finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, setting clear objectives and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

About You

We are seeking an experienced finance leader with a strong background in transactional finance operations.

You'll ideally possess:

• Proven experience managing transactional finance processes.
• Previous leadership experience with responsibility for developing and motivating finance teams.
• Experience operating within a fast-paced and dynamic finance environment.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse financial and operational data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with a Shared Service Centre model would be advantageous
