Job Description

Job Title: Finance Manager

Department: Finance

Reporting to: Finance Controller

Your purpose: To manage the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, providing leadership and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team to ensure standards are met.
  • Supervise accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and income audit functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Handle the annual submission of the hotel's PAYE Settlement Agreement.
  • Ensure compliance with Internal Audit policies and legislation.
  • Prepare and post journal entries; manage month-end processes.
  • Oversee cash flow management.
  • Maintain financial records in accordance with policies.
  • Participate in recruitment and training of finance staff.
  • Review and prepare monthly P&L reports and Balance Sheet reviews.
  • Submit VAT returns as per HMRC deadlines.
  • Partner with operational departments to support business goals.
  • Maintain a strong control environment and review financial transactions.
  • Assist in audit preparations.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Accounting qualification preferred but not required.
