We are seeking a Finance Manager for our LatAm team in the Glasgow office. This role requires fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. As part of the Shared Service Centre for Reconciliations, you will manage a team of Onshore & Offshore members and report to the Head of Finance Shared Service Delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring the completion of the reconciliation process on the Blackline system in line with the Global Policy. A key part of this role is working with a variety of LatAm regions' local finance areas to complete finance reconciliation processes. You will be a key point of contact for both the local finance areas within LatAm and the Offshore team.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication and analytical skills. Ideally, you will have a sound understanding of Excel and relevant finance experience. You should be assertive in following up and seeking resolution of queries and issues. Strong communication skills are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
Balance Sheet Control- Understand Global Accounting Policy and ensure adherence. Assist local contacts in understanding the Policy.
- Manage Quality Assurance to ensure reconciliations meet Global Policy requirements.
- Understand the purpose, content, and data flows of reconciliations; communicate effectively with senior managers.
- Ensure regional protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with local finance management and FCU to resolve queries and clear aged open items.
- Identify data issues on reconciliations and log them on the Data Issue Register.
- Support and escalate issues to local contacts/stakeholders as needed.
BPO Oversight Control- Ensure offshore team tasks are completed within SLA.
- Participate in defining SLA metrics and measurement methods.
- Support process enhancements for reconciliation and underlying processes.
- Oversee transitioned processes; visit other sites if necessary to ensure cohesion.
- Perform quality assurance on outsourced processes.
- Review BPO standard operating procedures.
External Communication- Communicate in Spanish with local offices during projects and BAU.
- Coordinate with third-party outsource providers.
- Account for cultural differences affecting processes and approach.
Continuous Improvement- Lead initiatives to improve finance processes within LatAm entities and promote across the business.
- Work with local and offshore teams to improve efficiency and capacity.
Projects- Participate in team projects, including testing, UAT, and sign-offs.
Management- Manage people including resourcing, training, performance, engagement, and absence.
- Prioritize team tasks aligned with Glasgow team goals.
Communication Skills- Confidently communicate with external stakeholders in IT, Finance, and Executive Management.
- Adapt communication style to various organizational levels.
- Excellent written and oral skills in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Qualifications- Relevant experience or qualification.
- Accountancy qualification is desirable.
- Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
- Experience in financial services or insurance is desirable.
